The premise

Every body is capable of dancing and of movement. A dance piece for three performers that evokes childhood and play. A ball of yarn is present throughout: thrown, tangled, shared. Created and choreographed by Sofía Mera for the InDanza collective.

The compositional decision

Each character is an instrument.

  • Ángel is prepared piano

    The character with special abilities, the one who binds the other two together. A piano that does not sound like a piano: his difference is written into the timbre, not the melody.

  • Jaime is flute

    A melodic instrument, chosen for its sweetness.

  • Nicole is violin

    A melodic instrument, chosen for its sweetness.

As the characters play with one another, so does the instrumentation.
